Angelia O'Neal Named Foundation ED

Foundation Names New Executive Director

The Douglas County Education Foundation is pleased to welcome Angelia O'Neal as the new executive director. O'Neal has a vested interest in both the community and the school system. She is a resident of Douglas County and has one child in the school system and one who graduated from Alexander High School in 2016. She is a District 5 Citizen Board Member for the Atlanta Regional Commission. Her jurisdiction includes Douglas County and portions of Cobb County, City of Atlanta and South Fulton County.

Prior to joining the foundation, she was senior administrator in the College of Law at Georgia State University. As founder of M.E.N.S. Wear, Inc. (Making Employment the Next Step), a Georgia-based 501(c)3 organization, O'Neal has more than 15 years of leadership experience in non-profit operations and governance.

"I am very excited to join the foundation as executive director," says O'Neal. "I look forward to assisting the board with its mission, further supporting our students and teachers and building increased awareness of the foundation."
