Category 1: Athletics
Gold’s Gym Scholarship
Students applying for this scholarship must have participated for at least two high school years on a school, intramural, or county/regional sports or cheerleading team.
Category 2: College & Career Institute
Don Remillard Scholarship
This scholarship is for students graduating from the College and Career Institute or Performance Learning Center. There is no minimum grade point average required for applicants
Nora McDonald Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a student graduating from the College & Career Institute.
Category 3: Community Volunteerism
Applicants must be current active volunteers with at least one Douglas County not-for-profit service organization.
Captain Herb Emory Memorial Scholarship
In addition to being current active volunteers with at least one not-for-profit Douglas County service organization, applicants must plan to major in journalism or broadcast journalism.
Category 4: Douglas County High School
Golden Eagle Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Douglas County High School and Lithia Springs High School graduating seniors. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average and meet residential criteria within the award year that include a verifiable three months or longer participation in a rental assistance program; residence in a public housing project or subsidized community; residence in a hotel/motel; or residence in a non-permanent dwelling constructed or substituted for a homeless shelter.
Category 5: Douglas County Residents
Hometown Scholarship
Applicants must have attended kindergarten through 12th grades in Douglas County School System (DCSS) schools. Should all factors be considered equal among qualified applicants, preference will be given to students who attended Eastside Elementary School.
Category 6: Douglasville Gymnastics and Cheerleading Club
Douglasville Gymnastics and Cheerleading Club Scholarship
This scholarship is open to current and former students of Douglasville Gymnastics and Cheerleading Club.
Category 7: Financial Need
Golden Eagle Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Douglas County High School and Lithia Springs High School graduating seniors. Applicants must have a minimum 2.5 grade point average and meet residential criteria within the award year that include a verifiable three months or longer participation in a rental assistance program; residence in a public housing project or subsidized community; residence in a hotel/motel; or residence in a non-permanent dwelling constructed or substituted for a homeless shelter.
Mary Peace Winn, Frank M. Winn, and Judge Dan P. Winn Memorial Scholarship
Academics and financial need are primary determining factors for this scholarship which may be renewed up to four years, pending satisfaction of requirements.

Students applying for this scholarship do not have to major in education but must plan to pursue a career in education. They must write a paragraph on “Diversity and Me” describing how they view themselves in a multi-cultural society and how they celebrate diversity.

Clara Evelyn Brown Scholarship
Due to shortage of women pursuing STEM careers, first preference will be given to female applicants. The scholarship will be made available to males should the criteria for the scholarship not be met by any female applicants.
